2011 RENDEZVOUS RECAP

RENDEZVOUS RECAP

crg-wmcc-2011

Thanks to everyone who ventured out to support the WMCC at the Western Mass Rendezvous on October 1st. While the weather put a damper on the outdoor events, our friends at Central Rock Gym were gracious enough to let us take over for the day. An indoor bouldering competition for all ages and the 2011 REEL ROCK Film Tour highlighted the evening with tons of gear give-aways and great company along the way. The outdoor competition that was scheduled for the day was postponed to a date to be determined later this fall so stay tuned.

Thanks for everyone’s support. See you out there!

Urban Adopt-A-Crag, April 30, 2011

Urban Adopt-A-Crag, April 30, 2011

Hi folks-
With the arrival of Spring and Arbor Day on Friday, the air is filled with green. Our friends at the Central Rock Gym in Hadley are feeling the vibe also and we at the WMCC thought we would try to help out.

This Saturday, April 30th, Central Rock in Hadley will be adding some much needed ‘green’ on the outside of their building. Over 100 plants are arriving this week that need to be planted and we are seeking any and all volunteers to come out and help green the place up. Pizza and free day passes for volunteers will be provided. Consider this our urban Adopt-A-Crag event. Bring your shovels if you have them. Diggin’ starts at 9 AM. (too muggy to climb outside anyway…)

Also don’t forget that if you haven’t bought a membership for the gym yet, now’s the time to do it. All initiation fee’s are being donated to the WMCC. As of now, we are approaching $2,000! Thanks guys!

Hope to see you Saturday,

Jeff Squire
