14th Annual Silent Auction

It’s back! The Silent Auction might look a little different than usual this year, but we’ve been working hard to bring you all the great gear, guidebooks, coffee, and unique items that we always do. The auction will be live from 12:00pm March 29th to 8:00pm April 3rd. You can easily bid on items from home, work, or even out at the crag.

So far, we’ve received over $11,000 of climbing gear, gym memberships, training and recovery tools, art, coffee and other unique items!

Pro Tips

This is our first time doing an online Silent Auction and we’re guessing it might be your first time as well. We’re using 32 Auctions for our auction platform. If you are the winning bidder on Saturday night, you will receive an invoice with a link to easily pay with PayPal or Stripe.

Here are some pro tips:

Easily view items: Click the auction link to view auction items. View on your phone or computer.
Watch list: If you see an item you like, you can add it to your watch list by clicking the heart symbol.
Proxy bidding: You can make an exact bid, or choose to set a proxy bid. To set up a proxy bid, enter the highest bid amount you want to pay for an item. 32 Auctions will then raise one bid increment above any other bids, only up to your proxy bid amount.
Shipping: Please pay attention to shipping notes in the item description. Many items will have no shipping charge (gift certs and tickets can be sent in the mail or over email). Some items will be shipped to the winner directly from the donating company at no cost to the winning bidder. Other items will be shipped from WMCC to the winner and we will charge shipping fees. There are also a few items that are local pick up only in western MA.

VIMFF Fundraiser

The WMCC is excited to partner with VIMFF for the 24th Annual Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival presented by Arc’teryx. 20% of ticket sales purchased through the WMCC will be donated to the WMCC! Just make sure to purchase your ticket through this link.

Virtual Trivia Night – Feb. 10th, 2021

The WMCC is hosting a virtual TRIVIA NIGHT. Test your knowledge of local climbing history with topics ranging from “Local Legends” and “Name that Route,” to “Gear Geeks.” The winning team will receive WMCC swag and prizes.

Compete in teams of 3-4! Message your dream team and decide on a team name. You will be asked what your team name is when registering so that we can pre-assign break out rooms. Don’t have a team in mind? Don’t be shy– register anyway and we will add you to a team that night!

Trivia Night is FREE, but please consider donating $5 to $10 if you can afford to. Your donation for this event will help cover the costs of prizes, pay for the new WMCC zoom account, and ensure that we run more fun events like this in the future.

All participants will have to register in advance to receive the zoom link.
